Newness

What news!

The arrival

And the departure

Both equal in value and pleasure

To the adventurous wondering soul

Close enough

I cried out mercy and an added hour
I sought out fairytales and provoked hallucinations to deter
Please reflect, deflect, respect my ignorance
I’ll never name it by bliss; terror neither though close enough

Laying in the hard bed

I snuggle myself stiffly in this bed I have made
It makes my backbone strong and my spine thicken
In solitude my baby gets scared
My baby sees distorted realities and hears her past
Blue Jays in the winter
Those years had their intentions on healing
Not knowing that flowers need sunshine to grow
Solitude doesn’t know
My babies crying, her tears won’t work
My head’s on solitude

Guidance

I called you lighthouse
Gently you lead me
Breaking shores end, held my hand
I sailed several seas to meet you
Deck and deserving
I couldn’t wait for you to lead me home
